How to enable encrypted connection to AWS Ubuntu Deaktop?

Connections to Ubuntu Desktop are not encrypted for Ubuntu 14.04 and 16.04. Starting from 18.04, there are multiple ways to enable encryption:

• For web browser, simply connect via "https" instead of "http" (https will also turn on websocket encryption as well)
• For VNC connection, turn on TLS option. Take tigervncviewer for example, click on "options"/"Security", in "Encryption" panel, unselect "None" and select "TLS with anonymous certificates"
• For RDP connection, session is encrypted by default.
