Is there a way to automatically shutdown the VM if IDLE?

Is there a way to automatically shutdown the VM if IDLE?

I would like to make the VM automatically shutdown if it has been IDLE for a certain amount of time. I have been trying by changing the sleep timeout setting and sleep action to "shutdown" but nothings happens. I am using Ubuntu Desktop 20.04

The built-in power management is disabled for AWS. Rather, you can use external monitoring feature to shut down an idle instance.
